Is This
Fair?
I panted and I gasped;
I ran and I
raved
My body,
feeble and fatigued
With a
longing unrequited
Dragged my feet all along
In a
helpless pursuit
Of your
mercy and your grace,
Your love
and that cheerful face.
Far far away
as if yonder the ridge
You rambled
your carefree ways
Jovially and
joyfully
Never even
bothering to see
How I longed
for you.
And today you
say I didn’t care?
Tell me
dear, is this fair?
